Infrastructure
At Áleph, we construct close relationships between architecture, schools spaces, and pedagogy. The school infrastructure was designed under the concept of being one big workshop space: a place were our hands, our ideas, and emotions come together and contribute towards building new knowledge.
Classrooms
Each morning, students work based on a reserach questions or challenge and give their research continuity through the use of a broad range of concepts and skills they develop in an individual and collective way.
Workshops
We have a broad range of workshops where students can explore important concepts as part of their investigation. Each group, depending on the age, works with a workshop teacher who has a specialty in the arts, music, movement, dance, theater, circus, biology, engineering, etc.
Sports
Students can practice sports like track and field, basketball, soccer, volleyball, handball, etc. As a school, we have been part of the school sport association (ADECOPA) since 2018.
We have sports fields for football, basketball, volleyball, as well as a 50-meter athletic track, spaces to develop different aspects of psychomotricity, and recreational spaces where students explore different dimensions of Physical Education.
Our physical education project framework aims to help our students build a healthy diet and body, as well as incorporate the practice of a diverse set of sports in their everyday lives.
Kitchen
Our chef organizes the kitchen in such a way that it integrates healthy eating with creativity. Our kitchen is another example of an interdisciplinary laboratory. We are interested in students experiencing this space as a workshop. therefore, every day we find groups of children cooking, writing recipes, creating menus, setting the tables, exploring new ways of presenting food, and then cleaning the space after use.
